All sites listed in this report are dry much more often than flowing. These sites are used for flood warning purposes and as such low flow monitoring has not been a priority. Due to difficulties with site access during flow events, gaugings are sporadic, while the highly dynamic sand beds mean instruments sometimes indicate flow where none occurred. This is an inherent difficulty with monitoring in desert areas. As such all mean monthly discharges are likely to over represent actual discharge.
