To The Commissioner,
I am a concerned resident of the Northern Territory and write in my opposition of the proposal which I am against on grounds of environmental, social and cultural impacts which I believe will be endangered by this.
There are too many unknown consequences regarding future activity and control of this proposal to confidently advocate for safe practice, contractual agreements regarding water use and the Water Act are not transparent enough in this instance. The public has a right to protect clean water and our environment and expect that our governments would lead in ensuring the long term sustainability of this vital resource is protected and maintained, and not abused, wasted or contaminated for short-term financial gain.
